Educational Empowerment

Challenges of Rural Education in Zambia

WISE Zambia's director, Maggie Indopu, was raised in the countryside of Zambia's Western Province. She had to walk six kilometres each way to get to school, She and WISE Zambia's staff, all from the Western Province, understand the xtreme challenges that children in these remote areas face to obtain an education. Our vision is not only to see children in remote areas of Africa receive a basic education, but education that takes them to the pinnacle of their abilities and desires.
Truly self-sufficient, willing able to make their communities, their country, and the world a better place.

Why we do it

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."                   ― Nelson Mandela

When children are fully educated and supported, the remaining issues facing a country or society fall into place. This means solutions for healthcare, water, and food security.

The change sought by WISE Zambia starts with families, communities, and country. But it does not stop there. Educating the youth of Zambia will change the world. Climate change, pandemics, supply chain issues, and the like do not recognize country borders.
