Humphrey Kuwaya

Humphrey Kuwaya

Another of our splendid class of WISE scholarship graduates to note. Many of you may already be familiar with the name Humphrey Kuwaya.

Humphrey not only graduated with distinction this year, but spent his final year as WISE’s student representative. This job required Humphrey to monitor the academic, physical, and psychological wellbeing of all of WISE’s scholarship students – and to take appropriate action, as needed. In addition, he coordinated events involving the WISE students, and acted as the ombudsman for the students with WISE and its project coordinator. This task required extraordinary responsibility, and Humphrey was more than up to the occasion.

Moreover, Humphrey’s role with WISE did not end with graduation from Kaoma Secondary. He (along with Brian) is now interning at the Women’s Center, both assisting Maggie with her administrative duties, as well as operating the hammermill now that the Women’s Center has electricity.
