Munukayumbwa Mundia is chairperson of the WISE Zambia board in Zambia. He has been actively involved with WISE Zambia for more than a decade.
Mundia is a Zambian Rotary Peace Fellow, trained at Makerere University in Uganda. He has vast teaching and educational leadership experience and has proven skills in public health, education management, youth and childhood education, community and resources mobilization, project management, livelihood skills and entrepreneurship development, gender main streaming and awareness. He has worked for the government and has experience in working with non-governmental organizations, particularly in project implementation and partner management. He has worked as a school teacher at Lutembwe Primary School, senior teacher at Winana Primary School, and deputy head teacher at Silembe Primary School and Kalabo Day Secondary School, and ultimately head teacher at Luoke East Primary School.
He was the co-founder and chairperson of the board of directors for Lukulu FM Community Radio Station. He is a former Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement fellow at Claremont Graduate University in the United States of America and fellow of the African Civic Engagement Academy at University of Georgia.
He has international experience in peace building and conflict transformation, development, human rights, governance and media, human security , refugees, migration, community cohesion, natural resources management and climate change science.
